Ann Hutchinson

Author, speaker, philosopher

Smiling Ann Hutchinson, with short asymmetrical haircut, wearing teal blazer.

Ann Hutchinson has authored short fiction, articles, memoir, and edited an anthology about intimate partner violence. She is currently writing a memoir about grief and researching a book about primary prevention of intimate partner violence. As a break from all that heavy stuff, she also writes songs and poems, in addition to often-humorous speculative fiction as Ann Wilkes.

Ann Hutchinson has been writing, in one form or another, all her life. Even in her teens, she would come up clever ways to express philosophical truths.

Her mastery of flash fiction and flash memoir led her to marketing copy and songwriting, because she learned to be the queen of concise. Her true passion is sharing encouraging stories, both written and spoken, and helping others find the strength and peace at their core, and conquer their fear of sharing their gifts with the world.

When not writing, she is dancing, hiking, walking, beach bumming, reading or riding on the back of her husband’s motorcycle.
